1993 March/April
Little Digger by John Gardner.
On 2018-10-24, John B McKnight said, " I talked to a guy who had bought Hall's Giaur... He said: 'Little Digger was raced and then retired with the engine removed and used as a spare for my former Chalmer Hall Giaur. I got it with the sale of the Giaur to me in 1973, but that was all that came with me.' I searched for decades to find either Little Digger or the Hall/Scott special, but I believe now that both cars were destroyed or rotted out to nothing, or possibly were remade into something else. Shame however with Little Digger as that car was not only fast, it was really well built.
Hall went on from there to do some pretty amazing race car builds. He also raced a Testarossa and other pretty big league cars until his close friend died racing. He hung up his racing helmet and went on to selling Marine Insurance after that. He raised and bred Arabians and did a lot of woodworking in his later years. I believe he has passed away as the last time I saw him was about 15 years ago and he was in his 80s."
