Read MoreUp for bid is a New Old Stock (NOS) Warren sports racer body from the late '60s/early '70s. Unbelievably, this fiberglas S/R body has been found in storage after approx. 40 years. It is in absolutely mint, original, never-used condition.
It is suitable for vintage restoration of an H-mod, D S/R, or C S/R SCCA race car. An easy project upgrade if you've got the chassis that it will fit. Has been successfully put onto PBS, Lotus 23, Elva 7 and a variety of individual chassis of the era. You could also build a custom chassis to fit the body onto and it would qualify in any vintage association as long as you kept it period-correct.
Some Specs:
Nose is 54" long 60" wide
Rear Section is 54" long 62" wide
Fiberglas Side Height is approx. 12"
Door/Rocker Panel Segment is 62" X 24" (to be cut to fit)
Two-seat center segment is optional (included, if you want it, at only the cost to ship it) and fits inside the bodywork (see pictures).
Comes with original Warren Car Bodies brochure (pictured) and a hand written letter to the original purchaser by Jim Warren dated in 1970.
According to the original brochure, "Overall length 130 to 144 inches -- Wheelbase 78 to 90 inches -- Width of wheels to 60 inches -- Height: floor pan to top of rear fenders 22 to 25 inches -- Height from floor pan to top of instrument panel is 18 to 22 inches -- Fender well wheel openings, holes rear of tail shell, and all air vents including radiator air intake and exhaust are uncut when body is received. Weight is approximately 60 pounds (just the two body segments)." The brochure (pictured) shows 12 pictures of the body on a S/R chassis, plus 1 picture of the constructor holding up the front and rear sections which he claims only weigh 60 lbs.
