Don Wands, DSR Ocelot Mk III
History of this car from Jack Marr:
"Ron Dennis won the 1973 Runoffs in a car wearing this body.
It was later crashed by Don Wands at Road America and rebodied with the yellow body shown elsewhere on the Sports Racer Network.
Jack Marr bought it from Don's widow in 1978, ran it for a couple of seasons and sold it to Larry Myers after the 1980 Runoffs.
Larry put the silver Tiga body on it (as seen elsewhere on the Sports Racer Network) and converted it from Suzuki to Honda power.
My car was properly a "III B". The Mk III's were SAAB powered, the "B" designated a Suzuki engine. My car was originally built for SAAB/Hewland and had those mounts in the chassis, but was changed to Suzuki during construction. The SAAB was never installed.
As I recall, the next cars in line were the Mk IV's which were a conventional bodied Suzuki car. The streamliners were the Mk V."
