Phoenix Race Works Combination units
This new wheel hub design combines several components into one. It is substantially lighter and stiffer than the traditional 2 piece design that has a separate wheel hub and a stub axle. It has combined the tripod housing and the wheel hub into one part. The new larger diameter hub uses two bearings spaced nearly 2" apart. The distance between the bearings will decrease bearing load, increase stiffness and increase bearing life. The new design uses two thin section angular contact ball bearings, whose total weight is one half that of the traditional automotive style double row cartage bearing. The parts will also be available for the home builder and conversions.
